The Second Annual Disability Pride Parade, “Unity Builds Community” featured Steven Brown as Parade Marshal and honored Not Dead Yet for distinguished service. Read speeches by Diane Coleman and Stephen Drake and Mike Ervin's Blessed are the Butt-Wipers .  More people, cars, and floats lined up at Halstead and Randolph Streets and marched west on Randolph to Union Park.  The Co-Chairs – Laura Obara, Gary Arnold, and Janice Stashwick – did superb jobs.

The evening before the Parade, memvbers of the community read and/or performed their original works at Open Mic. Here's a sample:

Steven Brown, 2005 Parade Marshal, is Assistant Professor at the Center on Disability Studies at the University of Hawaii. He also co-founded the Institute on Disability Culture, a not-for-profit organization
